Workshop Overview

Upon completion of this workshop attendees will be able to


  • Discuss the importance of nitric oxide biochemistry and physiology benefits
  • Explain the metabolic pathways of inorganic nitrates in foods
  • Identify effective dietary and nutritional strategies to restore nitric oxide production in humans
  • Use technology to demonstrate practical skills in strength and conditioning training
  • Define the components of exercise science
  • Explain the relationship of exercise science and nutrition in enhancing performance
  • Describe the growth and the current presence of sports nutrition professionals in the collegiate and professional sports setting
  • Identify roles and responsibilities of sports RDNs in the collegiate and professional sports setting
  • Discuss tools for establishing strong working relationships and building rapport and trust with athlete clients
