President's March 2006 Message
Dear fellow FDA members,
My update is a little late because I wanted to
wait for our FDA election results and also coincidentally,
isn't it great that UF won the basketball championship?
My Dad was a basketball coach so of course I was
up watching and was so impressed by their unselfish
team work. It certainly fits with our theme for
the year, the Power of Team. And, now we have
a newly elected FDA team of leaders that will
be working for you next year.
-
Congratulations
to our newly elected PRESIDENT-ELECT Lucille
Beseler MS, RD, LD/N
The other members who were elected will be announced
next week when everyone has been notified.

I
presented at the American College of Cardiology
Meeting in Atlanta on March 14th regarding the
new food guide pyramid. There were cardiologists
from all over the world there who were interested
in how to help their patients make needed behavioral
changes regarding diet and exercise. The other
three panelists, two physicians and a nurse
practitioner all echoed my recommendation to
consult an RD!
As always, let me know if you have issues, questions,
comments, or concerns. I love hearing from you.
And, congratulations to the Gators and their national
basketball championship!
