Meetings

Florida FNCE

The Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics conducts a three and one half day annual symposium in July. The meeting provides 20+ hours of continuing education, offers an 80+ booth exhibit hall and features a faculty of 30+ nationally and internationally recognized speakers. Topics are always cutting-edge and concurrent sessions assure there is a topic of interest for all attendees. The meeting offers the opportunity to present a poster session or literature review and showcases a Silent Auction of 40+ unique baskets.

Registration begins in March and a special Florida FNCE newsletter is distributed weekly starting in May with highlights of the meeting. To be placed on the mailing list or if you have questions about the program or exhibiting, contact Jacque Mitchell at JMitchell@eatrightflorida.org.

Legislative Days

The Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics conducts legislative training in March or April during the Florida Legislative Session. The training takes place in Tallahassee and all members and dietetic interns are invited to attend. An overview of the legislative process is presented as well as updates on pertinent legislation. Role playing on how to successfully meet with a legislator is demonstrated. Typically three hours of continuing education are available. Registration for the training begins in February. For information about Legislative Days contact Jacque Mitchell at JMitchell@eatrightflorida.org.
