  • Clinical Nutritional Care Manager, RD

Position available at St. Petersburg General. Bachelor’s in Food & Nutrition, FL Dietitian license and/or ADA Registration and previous hospital Dietitian experience required. Management experience is preferred.

We currently have Clinical Dietitian openings within the HCA West & Central Florida Division. PRN positions weekdays and/or weekends available at:

  • Oak Hill Hospital (Brooksville)
  • Doctors Hospital of Sarasota
  • Community Hospital of New Port Richey
  • Osceola Regional Medical Center (Kissimmee/Orlando)
  • Central Florida Regional Hospital (Sanford/Orlando)

Clinical Dietitian requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s in Dietetics or Nutrition
  • Current Florida licensure (L.D.)

Health Coach/Registered Dietitian needed in Weston/Ft. Lauderdale, FL - posted March 4, 2010

HealthFitness has excellent opportunities for experienced full-time Health Coach/Registered Dietitian(s) at our client health promotion program dividing time between their Weston and Ft. Lauderdale, FL location and additional FL locations.  This program provides its employee population with a complete range of health, fitness and wellness programming including a variety of lifestyle counseling, health risk assessments, condition management and much more.  This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to develop, administer and direct health education and health risk management programming in a progressive and diverse environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of one-on-one health coaching sessions daily in the areas of fitness, nutrition, weight management, stress reduction, health risk management, and smoking cessation. 

  • Development, delivery, and assessment of health improvement programs.

  • Delivery of health education seminars.

  • Development, procurement and implementation of health education related tools and materials.

  • Biometrics collection including height, weight/body composition, waist and blood pressure measurements.

  • Documentation management of participant records, data tracking and other record keeping and reporting including assistance with development of data tracking tools.

  • Assist with planning and delivery of special events for client site and the community such as health fairs, health education presentations, physical activity events, etc.

  • Marketing and communications for special programs

  • Active participation in staff and team meetings including facilitation and recording of minutes.

Qualifications
Job requirements include a bachelor degree (Masters preferred) in nutrition, health promotion, exercise science, community/public health or other related field and bi-lingual (fluent in Spanish and English). The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietician and have 3 years experience providing health or nutritional counseling and/or coaching.  Health/wellness coaching and/or CHES Certification preferred.  Proficiency in the delivery of health education and health promotion programs/seminars (e.g. smoking cessation, weight management and stress reduction) required.  The key individual has experience in corporate health promotion and health coaching.  Additionally, the individual is a motivator and will also have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, quality orientation, attention to detail and knowledge in the use of Word, Excel and Power Point.

Oportunties with Bayfront Medical Center - posted February 8, 2010

         Responsible for the maintenance of high nutritional standards, the provision of appropriate diets to patients in accordance with physician’s orders and for the nutritional education and dietetics within the hospital. Represents the patient’s nutritional interests as a leader of the Nutrition Department and member of the health care team. Prepares monthly reports. This position reports to the Food Service Management team and supervises clinical dietitians. Interviews and hires Registered Dietitians. Documents performance of Registered Dietitians. Attends required meetings. Creates and assists in tracking Department Performance and Quality Indicators/goals. Assists department director in reviewing and updating department specific policies annually.

Must have a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition and Dietetics. Must have Florida Dietitian license and be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Must have completion of approved internship or practice program. Prefer previous healthcare experience and supervisory experience. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must have basic computer and Math skills. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must have strong Interpersonal skills and excellent Customer Service skills.
