President's October 2008 Message

Dear FDA Members and Friends,

I am thrilled to be the 2008-2009 President of the Florida Dietetic Association! While I appreciate the votes of confidence that got me to this point, this is not a “one man” show. Our new Board of Directors is in place as is the Administrative Council for this year. I invite you to take a few moments to check out our website and meet the folks on our leadership team.

Our theme for this year is “together we can”. My agenda includes increasing the visibility of the FDA Member. I can’t do this alone. But together WE can. We can do anything with a diverse and engaged membership. There will lots of opportunities for you to get involved with FDA this year regardless of your interests or level of comfort. We can provide Mentors and on-the-job training. So when we tap you on the shoulder I hope you will say yes!
