Jorge Chavarro, MD, ScD 

Dr. Chavarro, instructor in Medicine at the Channing Laboratory, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, will be speaking on the Fertility Diet.  His research revolves around investigating the role diet plays in the pathogenesis of diseases affecting the reproductive and other hormone sensitive organs. His work has been recognized with award from the International Agency for Research in Cancer and the American Association for Cancer Research.

Jackie Newgent, RD, CDN 

Jackie Newgent is a nationally recognized registered dietitian, chef and eco-cuisine expert.  Author of the Big Green Cookbook, named one of the top cookbooks of 2009 by The Daily Green,   Jackie appears regularly in the media as a culinary nutrition authority.  Her work is often seen in Health, Cooking Light and Woman’s Day.  Jackie’s session will provide tips about her planet-pleasing cooking techniques including “hyperbaking” and “micro roasting”.  Mini cooking demonstrations will be conducted throughout the presentation and her cookbook will be available for purchase.
