Welcome to the Florida Dietetic Association

The Florida Dietetic Association is the advocate of the dietetic profession serving the citizens of Florida by empowering our members to promote optimal nutrition and health for all people.

FDA sponsors many activities in order to accomplish the purpose of the association including:

  • Annual and legislative meetings offering "up-to-date" continuing education credits;
  • A quarterly newsletter providing information from the state office, district associations and national association;
  • Scholarships to support the future of the profession; and
  • A nationally recognized and highly respected diet manual proving the latest in medical nutrition therapies

FDA was founded in 1935 in Jacksonville, Florida and is currently comprised of over 3000 members and fifteen district associations. Since 1988, FDA has maintained its headquarters in the state capitol, Tallahassee, Florida. Members of the association include registered dietitians, licensed dietitians/nutritionists, registered dietetic technicians and students.
